Starting from the morning of April 26, the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway officially opened to traffic and people were allowed to circulate. Putting this expressway into operation helps shorten the distance from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa province) to only about 5 hours.
The Ministry of Transport has just issued a plan to organize the inauguration ceremony of two sections of the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao and Dien Chau – Bai Vot highways. The ceremony is expected to take place at 2:00 p.m. on April 28 in an online format at 2 bridge locations.
At the main bridge point in Ninh Thuan province (belonging to the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway project), the ceremony was held in the area north of Nui Vung tunnel (belonging to Tra No village, Phuoc Ha commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh province). Thuan). At this bridge point, there are expected to be about 300 delegates. The ceremony is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
At the bridge point in Nghe An province (inauguration of Dien Chau – Bai Vot project), will be held north of Than Vu tunnel (Dien Phu commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province). The ceremony is expected to be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.
On the morning of April 24, talking to SGGP Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Thanh PhongDeputy Director of the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway Project Management Board, said that up to now, preparations for the project’s inauguration ceremony have been completed.
“Starting from the morning of April 26, the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway will officially open to traffic, people will be allowed to circulate. Then, on April 28, the project inauguration ceremony will be held,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong information.
Also according to the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway Project Management Board, the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway is temporarily not organizing toll collection.
The Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway project is 78km long, invested in the public-private partnership (PPP) method, passing through 3 provinces of Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan. The project has an investment capital of about 9,000 billion VND, connecting to Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet – Dau Giay highways. When completed, the project will help shorten the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa province) from 7-8 hours to about 5 hours.
Dien Chau – Bai Vot expressway project has a total investment of 11,157.82 billion VND, total length of 49.3km. The project passes through the territories of Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen districts (Nghe An province) for 44.4km and Duc Tho district (Ha Tinh province) for 4.9km. This expressway plays an important role in connecting Hanoi to Nghe An and Ha Tinh and was started in May 2021.
