New features on VNeID application version 2.1.5
The National Population Data Center (Ministry of Public Security) has just released the latest version of the electronic identification and authentication application VNeID 2.1.5.
In version VNeID 2.1.5, some new features have been updated including:
– Add the utility of issuing criminal record cards (pilot applied to cases with permanent residence in Hanoi City and Thua Thien Hue province);

– Adjust the ID card/CCCD issuance history function;

What is VNeID application?

Regulations on using electronic identity accounts on VNeID application
Pursuant to Article 13 of Decree 59/2022/ND-CP regulating the use of electronic identification accounts as follows:
– The e-identity subject uses the e-identity account to log in and use features and utilities on the VNeID application and e-identity information page.
– Electronic identification accounts created by the electronic identification and authentication system are used to carry out administrative procedures, public administrative services in the electronic environment and other activities according to the needs of the owner. electronic identity.
– Agencies, organizations and individuals are allowed to create accounts to serve their activities and are responsible for authenticating and ensuring the accuracy of the accounts they create, deciding on the level and value of their use. application of each account level. Information to create an account is provided by the account owner or agreed to be used by the agency, organization or individual to create the account.
– The use of a level 1 electronic identity account created by the electronic identification and authentication system for an electronic identity subject who is a Vietnamese citizen has the value of proving that person’s information. stipulated in Clause 1, Article 7 of Decree 59/2022/ND-CP, for subjects who are foreigners with proof of that person’s information specified in Clause 1, Article 8 of Decree 59/2022/ND -CP in activities and transactions that require providing personal information of the electronic identity subject.
– The use of a level 2 electronic identity account created by the electronic identification and authentication system for an electronic identity subject who is a Vietnamese citizen has the same value as the use of an Identity card.
