On April 24, on the expressway section Dien Chau – Bai Vot, the contractor arranged many engineers and workers to work “3 shifts, 4 crews” to complete on schedule. The section from Dien Cat commune (Dien Chau district) to National Highway 46B, Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen district) extends about 30km to technical traffic on April 28. Particularly, the section from National Highway 46B to Bai Vot (Hong Linh town) will open to traffic in the next phase due to weak ground.
The expressway section is about 30Km long and has many items that are difficult to construct in complex mountainous terrain such as: Xuan Duong Bridge 1 and 2; Than Vu bridge and Than Vu tunnel. However, these projects are still on schedule and are rushing to complete the final items.
Mr. Luyen Hong Thai, representative of the construction unit (Hoa Hiep Co., Ltd.) at the National Highway 46B bridge, Km458 – 796, said that on the construction site of more than 1km, there are more than 200 people working on the construction.
“In the last days, the workers worked more urgently than normal days. At night, workers are provided with more adequate food to stay healthy on the road and on the machine,” Mr. Thai shared.
The Dien Chau – Bai Vot expressway has a length of 49.3km, with a total investment of 11,157.82 billion VND. The project passes through the territories of Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen districts (Nghe An province) for 44.4km and Duc Tho district (Ha Tinh province) for 4.9km. This expressway was started in May 2021 and plays an important role in connecting Hanoi to Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
According to the design, phase 1 of the project is phased in investment with 4 lanes, 17m wide roadbed, and design speed of 80km/h. When completed, the expressway will have 6 lanes and a road bed wider than 32m.
