Highway 22 There are 2 sections proposed to be renamed, including: Section 1 – from National Highway 1 to An Ha bridge (Hoc Mon district, District 12), 10 km long – expected to be named Le Quang Dao; Section 2 – from An Ha bridge to Tay Ninh province border (Cu Chi district), 20 km long – is expected to be named Phan Van Khai.

Highway 50: It is planned to name Van Tien Dung for the section from Nhi Thien Duong bridge to Long An province border (District 8, Binh Chanh district), nearly 11km long.

Previously, in August 2023, Ho Chi Minh City also changed the name of Hanoi Highway (section from Thu Duc intersection to Saigon bridge) to Vo Nguyen Giap street. The street renaming event was carried out on the 112th anniversary of General Vo Nguyen Giap’s birth (August 25, 1911-August 25, 2023).
