“Up to now, the construction unit has completed a number of requirements set forth by the appraisal council, and this expressway is qualified to open to traffic. We have reported to the Ministry of Transport to allow traffic on the highway. this expressway from 7 a.m. April 26” – Mr. Long said.
According to the Deputy Director of Project Management Board 85, on April 25, the temporary stop of the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway located at Km 113, the section passing through Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province, was completed. finished work. Relevant units have inspected, accepted and agreed to put this temporary rest stop into operation from April 26.
Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway is ready to be put into operation
The Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway project is 78 km long, passing through 3 provinces of Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan, invested in the public-private partnership (PPP) method, with a cost of about 9,000 billion VND. The project was started on September 30, 2021, and the inauguration is expected to take place on the afternoon of April 28, 2024.
Vehicles traveling in two directions on the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway from April 26 will be free of charge. Then, from May 2, it is expected that the route operator will organize toll collection.
This expressway allows traffic at a maximum speed of 90 km/h, using an intelligent transportation system (ITS) and a management team that operates synchronously throughout the route. On the route there is a 2.25 km long Nui Vung tunnel. Phase 1 uses a two-way tunnel.
Surveillance cameras installed along the route use AI technology to classify vehicles, recognize license plates, detect and warn of incidents and violations such as speeding, going in the wrong lane, going in the wrong direction…
