Charged with the same crime of “irresponsibility causing serious consequences” are two defendants, including: Nguyen Thanh Tung – officer of the Registration and Archiving Team of the Land Registration Office Long Xuyen Branch; Nguyen Quang Minh – officer of the Land Registration Office Long Xuyen Branch.

Through the search, the police seized many related documents to serve the investigation.

According to the police, initial investigation results determined that Dao Van Ngoc had violated regulations on compensation, support, and resettlement when the State recovered land.

Defendant Ngoc signed a transfer contract to grant land in contravention of Land Law regulations to a number of households who were not eligible for resettlement.

Previously, since 2019, Mr. Vo Van Trung (56 years old, residing in Long Xuyen City) took advantage of his position as Deputy Director and Director of the Long Xuyen City Land Fund Development Center to make false documents to grant incorrect regulations 5. Residential land plot, managed by this center.

After having 3 land use rights certificates, people sold 2 plots for 7.2 billion VND. After that, the above two plots of land continued to be sold to others for 11.5 billion VND.

On July 21, 2022, Long Xuyen City Inspector proposed to transfer the investigation to the police agency at the same level. On August 1, 2022, Mr. Vo Van Trung was found dead at his home by relatives.

On August 2, 2022, the Investigation Police Department of An Giang Province accepted and resolved the proposal to prosecute the case of “Abuse of position and power to appropriate property” and “Forgery in work” that occurred from 2019 to July 2022 at Long Xuyen City Land Fund Development Center.

According to the Police, based on collected documents and evidence, it was determined that with the above 5 plots of land, competent and responsible people advised and approved the wrong subjects receiving compensation and resettlement support. , there are signs of crime “Violation of regulations on compensation, support, and resettlement when the State recovers land”.
