Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway is 78.5 km long, passing through 3 provinces of Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan. This expressway will connect to the Nha Trang – Cam Lam expressway in the north and the Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet expressway in the south, connecting the expressway from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang city (Khanh Hoa).

The highway has two intersections: Highway 27 intersection in Ninh Son district and National Highway 1 intersection in Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan province.

As noted by PLO On the morning of April 26, Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway Joint Stock Company cut the amount of traffic flow at the intersections of National Highway 27 (Ninh Son district) and National Highway 1 (Thuan Bac district) to prevent traffic accidents. Vehicles carrying toxic, flammable substances, explosive materials; Special-use motorbikes with a design speed of less than 60 km/h, tractors, motorbikes, motorbikes… on the highway.

The company also arranged forces to guide vehicles to temporary stops. However, on the first day of opening, this highway had quite a few vehicles.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Long, the general plan to ensure traffic safety on the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway has been approved by the Ministry of Transport. The signage system has been fully installed throughout the expressway.

According to the approved plan, the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway section is assigned to Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (HHV) to manage, operate, and maintain, ensuring safe operation and exploitation. complete, transparent.

The operations center can monitor the entire route through a camera system placed along the route using AI technology to classify vehicles, recognize license plates, and warn of incidents and traffic safety violations.

“The operations center will monitor the entire expressway through a camera system. When a problem is detected, the center will notify the operating unit for immediate handling” – Mr. Nguyen Van Long said.

A representative of Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway Joint Stock Company said that on the route, there is a 2.25km long Nui Vung tunnel, a special level tunnel, phase 1 uses a two-way tunnel. Therefore, the Tunnel Operation Center plays a very important role in ensuring safety and smooth circulation through the tunnel.

The tunnel operation center includes a monitoring and control complex with ITS, SCADA, and fire protection systems. The equipment of these systems is installed throughout the tunnel with the function of collecting information and responding as quickly as possible to ensure safety and smooth traffic.

To prepare for putting into operation, the Company organized fire prevention and rescue drills on the expressway.

Previously, on April 20, the State Inspection Council for acceptance of construction works approved the acceptance results of the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway project to put into operation and use.

Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway is one of three North-South Expressway component projects phase 1 (2017-2020), invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP). The joint venture investors are Deo Ca Group, Deo Ca Construction Company and Construction Investment Corporation 194.

The project has a total investment of 8,925 billion VND, with phase 1 cross-section size of 17 m, 4 lanes, maximum speed of 90 km/h. Phase 2 has a width of 32.25 m, 6 lanes, design speed of 100 – 120 km/h. On the route, there is a 2.25 km long Nui Vung tunnel, 3 lanes, 14 m tunnel width. This is the 4th largest road tunnel in the country after Hai Van tunnel, Deo Ca tunnel and Cu Mong tunnel.

Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway will be inaugurated on April 28. It is expected that this expressway will organize toll collection on May 2.
