This move was announced by the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee of Lam Dong province late on the afternoon of April 25, during a briefing session, providing information to the press.

Previously, under the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, on April 6, the Lam Dong Department of Finance had a working session with departments, branches and the investor, Hoan Cau Joint Stock Company, to agree on the costs that Lam Dong province would pay. Copper refunded to this company for recovery Palace 1.

Immediately after agreeing on the refund costs, on April 26, Lam Dong province officially closed Palace 1. Although at this time, the investor asked Lam Dong province to let the business unit pass the ceremony because it had failed. received many groups of visitors on April 30 and May 1.

In fact, in 2021, the People’s Committee of Lam Dong province issued a document terminating the project’s activities at Palace 1 to proceed with land recovery.

Thus, legally, the authorities of Lam Dong province have terminated the investment and business activities of the King Palace project. However, for many reasons, including the lack of agreement on refund costs, the matter has dragged on for more than two years.

There may be economic losses, but with a project that is historical, architectural and known to many people and tourists when mentioning Da Lat, it is necessary to resolutely withdraw it to come here for a unit. Others with enough capacity and reputation to bid again to serve tourists is an effort from the Lam Dong provincial government in implementing discipline and maintaining the strictness of the law.

Mr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, said that this is a problem that has lasted since 2021, with many instructions but no implementation. After two years of failure, the King Palace project will officially close on April 26.

Palace 1 was built in the 1940s. This villa was invested in by a French owner named Robert Clément and is closely associated with the name of King Bao Dai.
