In the early afternoon of April 26, many vehicles with blue license plates of the Ministry of Public Security simultaneously appeared at the private homes of many former leaders of Binh Thuan province.

Phan Thiet City police force and local militia have been strengthened to tighten security and order. On many routes such as Nguyen Tuong, Tuyen Quang, Hung Vuong… vehicles of the Ministry of Public Security stopped for a long time.
Many police officers moved into the house of Mr. Le Tien Phuong, former Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Xa Duong Thang, former Director of the Department of Construction of Binh Thuan province and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, former Deputy Director of the Tax Department of Binh Thuan province.
The latest move of the Police Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security related to the case that occurred at the Phan Thiet Beach Tourism Urban Area Project, Binh Thuan province.

Previously, on March 1, 2023, the Police Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security signed a decision to prosecute a criminal case. Violation of regulations on management and use of State assets causing loss and waste, occurring at Phan Thiet Beach Tourism Urban Area Project.
It is known that up to now there are at least 6 former officials and leaders of Binh Thuan province involved in this case.
