The Central Party Committee expelled former Secretary of Quang Ngai Le Viet Chu from the Party

On April 26, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the 13th Party Central Committee met to review and decide on cadre work.

Specifically, the Party Central Committee decided to discipline Mr. Le Viet Chu, former member of the 12th Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee.

Le Viet Chu has degraded in terms of political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; Seriously violating the Party’s regulations and State laws in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks, violating the Regulations on what party members cannot do and the responsibility to set an example; negative, accepting bribes, causing very serious consequences, frustrating public opinion, and very negatively affecting the reputation of the party organization and local government.

Based on the content, nature, extent, consequences and causes of the violation; Implementing the Party’s regulations on disciplining party organizations and violating party members, the Party Central Committee decided to discipline Mr. Le Viet Chu in the form of expulsion from the Party.

The Party Central Committee assigned the Politburo to direct relevant agencies to implement procedures according to regulations.

Previously, on April 19, the Politburo reported and requested the Party Central Committee to carry out disciplinary measures to expel Mr. Le Viet Chu from the Party.

Mr. Le Viet Chu was prosecuted and detained for investigation for the crime of “Receiving bribes”, stipulated in Clause 4, Article 354 of the Penal Code related to the case that occurred at Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company (Vol. Phuc Son group).

The Police Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security determined that, during the performance of his duties, Mr. Le Viet Chu received money from Nguyen Van Hau to create conditions for Phuc Son Group to win the bidding package “Construction of the main line project”. project on the southern bank of Tra Khuc river, Quang Ngai province”.

This is the result of expanding the investigation of the case “Violation of accounting regulations causing serious consequences; Bribery; violating regulations on bidding causing serious consequences and taking advantage of influence over people with positions and powers to seek personal gain”, happened at Phuc Son Group, Real Estate and Commercial Investment Joint Stock Company Thang Long property, Quang Ngai province, Vinh Phuc province and related units and localities.
