The Ministry of Education and Training said that it had previously carried out the process of appointing the Chairman of the Board of Members who is also the General Director of Vietnam Education Publishing House One Member LLC (under the Ministry of Education and Training) according to in accordance with regulations, appraisal documents, and agreements of the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Central Propaganda Department.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh, born in 1968, has more than 20 years of experience working in management at a press agency. Regarding his work history, Mr. Thanh has held the following positions: Reporter for Thanh Nien newspaper (April 1991-March 1996); Deputy editor of Thanh Nien newspaper (March 1996-January 1999); Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Family and Society newspaper (January 1999-November 2001); Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Life and Law newspaper (November 2001-May 2010); Editor-in-Chief of Life and Law newspaper (May 2010-April 2020); Editor-in-chief of Life and Law magazine (April 2020 – to present).
According to Clause 3, Article 17 of the 2012 Publishing Law, it is stipulated: “For publishing houses organized and operating in the form of conditional business enterprises of which the State is the owner and has the title of chairman of the board of members or Chairman of the company, the chairman of the board of members or the chairman of the company must also be the general director (director) of the Publishing House.
