Vietjet targets air transport revenue of more than VND 59,000 billion, planning to transport 27 million passengers by 2024.

The information was stated at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VJC), April 26. Specifically, the congress approved the air transport revenue plan of more than 59,000 billion VND, consolidated revenue of more than 65,500 billion VND, an increase of 10% and 12.4% respectively compared to 2023.

The airline aims to safely operate 142,000 flights, transporting 27.4 million passengers. The 2024 profit distribution plan agrees to pay dividends and advance dividends in cash and stocks at a maximum rate of 25%.

The Congress also approved many contents to promote growth, maintain the domestic market, expand the flight network around the world with new destinations in South Asia, Central Asia, Australia and towards Europe.

In 2023, the airline will safely operate 133,000 flights, transporting 25.3 million passengers, including more than 7.6 million international passengers, an increase of 183% compared to 2022. The airline has opened 33 new routes. international and domestic, especially the airline with the most routes between Vietnam and Australia’s 5 largest cities, opening many routes to the Indian market, directly connecting the capital Hanoi with the capital Hanoi. capital Jakarta (Indonesia). Effective exploitation of existing routes and opening new international routes has brought Vietjet record business results in 2023 with air transport revenue reaching 53,700 billion VND, consolidated revenue reaching 58,300 billion VND . As of December 31, 2023, Vietjet’s total assets reached more than 86,900 billion VND. The balance of cash and cash equivalents reached VND 5,051 billion, more than 2.7 times higher than the same period last year, ensuring the airline’s financial capacity.

At the end of the first quarter, the airline safely operated nearly 34,500 flights, transporting more than 6.3 million passengers. Vietjet recorded consolidated revenue and profit after tax of VND 17,792 billion and VND 539 billion, respectively.
