The shape of the final expressway from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang costs more than 8,920 billion VND

On April 26, Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway officially opened to traffic on the entire route. Cars can drive on the highway in the North – South direction and vice versa. The project investor arranges staff to guide the flow of vehicles entering the expressway. Vehicles carrying toxic, flammable substances, explosive materials, tractors, motorbikes, mopeds… are not allowed to enter.

Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway is 78.5km long, passing through 3 provinces, including Khanh Hoa (5km), Ninh Thuan (63km) and Binh Thuan (12km). From the direction of Ho Chi Minh City, this is the first section in Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province, following the Phan Thiet – Vinh Hao highway in the south.

Construction started in September 2021 and has now been completed. The project is invested by the joint venture of Deo Ca Group and Company 194 with a total capital of VND 8,925 billion in the form of a public-private partnership (PPP) contract. The expressway is designed with 4 lanes, 2 lanes on each side, allowing cars to run at a maximum speed of 90km/h, minimum 60km/h.

On April 26, the highway surface was paved with asphalt and white lane lines were painted. Warning signs are installed by the construction unit. Auxiliary items, such as intersections, security corridors, road slopes, and hard median strips in the middle of the road are equipped with anti-glare nets for drivers at night.

Along the route, ITS equipment and camera clusters are operated by installed solar panels. Surveillance cameras installed along the route use AI technology to classify vehicles, recognize license plates, detect and warn of incidents and violations such as speeding, going in the wrong lane, going in the wrong direction…

This highway is designed to run through many areas with mountainous terrain. Therefore, the investor penetrated the 2.2km long Vung mountain tunnel in Nhi Ha commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province, adjacent to Binh Thuan. This is the longest cross-mountain tunnel on the North-South Expressway, implemented by Deo Ca Group.

Inside the tunnel, two tunnels are designed running parallel, each side is 14m wide. Currently, the tunnel serving phase 1 has basically completed the concrete lining of the tunnel and the road surface. The construction unit is connecting equipment in the tunnel to the operating center right at the southern tunnel entrance. The tunnel on the right is for the line extension in phase 2.

Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway passes through areas with many mountainous terrain, rivers and lakes, making construction difficult. This entire route has 34 bridges, including 22 bridges on the expressway, 11 expressway overpasses and bridges on the highway connecting the expressway with National Highway 1 at the Du Long intersection, through Ninh Thuan province.

When Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway is put into operation, there will be 3 toll stations installed at Du Long intersection (Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan), National Highway 27 intersection (Ninh Son district, Ninh Thuan) and the station. end of route km133+700 (Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan). Currently, vehicles passing through the expressway receive free holiday service from April 26 to May 1. Fee collection begins at 0:00 on May 2, but the fee has not been announced.

The investor, Deo Ca Group, has completed two temporary rest stops at the intersection of Provincial Road 709 in Nhi Ha commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province, to serve the urgent needs of road users on the occasion of the 30/30 holiday. 4, while waiting for official station investment. At the rest stop, there are air-conditioned restrooms, 4G wifi, two vending machines and free mineral water.

Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway is the last highway section connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Nha Trang. When this highway is cleared, the route will help shorten the time from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang to only about 4-5 hours, halved compared to traveling on Highway 1. Previously, 4 highway sections were completed. , including: Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay, Dau Giay – Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet – Vinh Hao, Cam Lam – Nha Trang have come into operation.
