The domestic gold market begins a long holiday. At 9 a.m. on April 27, the price of SJC gold bars was purchased by some listed businesses at 83 million VND/tael and sold at 85.2 million VND/tael – stable compared to the end of yesterday.

Some gold shops in Ho Chi Minh City traded SJC gold bars, buying 83.5 million VND/tael, selling 84.1 million VND/tael.

Gold prices today maintain high levels for both SJC gold and ring gold

Not only gold bars, the price of gold rings and 24K gold jewelry of all kinds also stood still at 73.8 million VND/tael purchased, 75.5 million VND/tael sold.

At this price, gold rings are about 10 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold bars.

SJC gold bar price is heading towards its all-time peak of 85.4 million VND/tael set in mid-April, after increasing sharply and maintaining at a high level since late yesterday.

On the international market, gold price closed the weekend session at 2,338 USD/ounce, up nearly ten USD/ounce compared to yesterday morning.

World gold prices continue to fluctuate strongly in the context of US economic data showing that inflationary pressures are still persistent and it is unclear when the country will begin the roadmap to cut operating interest rates.

The world gold price converted at the listed exchange rate is about 13 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold bars.
