In June 2016, Minh Dat started working for the family corporation. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Plascene, a branch of Duy Tan Plastics. At the end of 2018, the company opened a branch in the US. Minh Dat officially became the COO of this branch for 8 years now.

In addition, Minh Dat is also the head of the Family Business Club under the Ho Chi Minh City Young Businessmen Association.
