Spotvnews reported on April 26, the artists and crew of the program Pick me trip in Bali are stuck in Bali (Indonesia), after local authorities discovered they were filming without permission.

Artists in the group include Hyoyeon (Girls’ Generation), Bomi (Apink), Dita (Secret Number), former IOI member Im Nayoung and broadcaster Choi Hee. They and their crew arrived in Bali on April 21 and were scheduled to leave on April 25.

Currently, the entire artist and film crew, a total of about 30 people, have had their passports confiscated and are staying at the hotel. They were asked to wait while local authorities investigated. Spotvnews said the earliest time the entire crew can return to Korea is early next week. The crew information program representative had visa problems.

“They are under investigation due to visa issues. We contacted them last night, but communication is quite difficult right now. We think they will be able to return after the investigation and are waiting for news,” this person said.

Due to unexpected problems, artists with schedules after April 25 had to urgently adjust.

“They are in Bali, but the artists don’t even know why they are being detained. It’s frustrating that the production team didn’t share details about this situation properly,” said an anonymous official.

Another official complained: “This situation is confusing. I think we’ll know soon after the investigation is complete. We are working so they can return to Korea as soon as possible.”

Following the news of the cast and crew being arrested, KBS Joy, the channel scheduled to broadcast the show, said the show has not yet been completed.

“We have confirmed the content related to the program but the official broadcast is still under consideration. We have no connection with the production company filming in Bali” – KBS Joy shared with the media.
