Miss Peace Thailand 2022 was ordered to pay more than 33 million USD

--

Sangrawee Entertainment company sued Engfa Waraha and asked her to pay 1.2 billion baht (about 33.1 million USD) for breach of contract.

On August 26, the newspaper Thairath reported that Engfa Waraha – Miss Grand Thailand 2022 – was sued by the former management company Sangrawee Entertainment for breach of contract. Sangrawee Entertainment filed a lawsuit asking Ingfah Waraha to pay 1.2 billion baht (approximately 33.1 million USD). According to Sangrawee Entertainment, Engfa Waraha voluntarily entered the contest while signing a contract with this company.

Sangrawee Entertainment said Engfa Waraha joined the company at the age of 17. When moving from Uthai Thani province to Bangkok to live in order to facilitate art activities, Engfa Waraha was supported by the company for both study and living expenses. She is also supported by the company with fully furnished housing. Even when Engfa Waraha’s father passed away, the company also supported the funeral expenses of 45,000 baht (approx. 1,200 USD).

At that time, Engfa Waraha and the company had not signed an official contract. After that, Engfa Waraha’s mother went to Bangkok to settle down. They continue to be supported by the company with all expenses. At this time, the company signed a contract with Ms. Boonchuay, Engfa Waraha’s mother because she was underage. The contract lasts 12 years with the provision not to unilaterally terminate.

“By the time Engfa Waraha graduated from high school, the company encouraged her to study further at Walailongkorn Rajabhat University. The company continued to support her for 4 years of study, including transportation costs by taxi. We set up the studio, hired a vocal, dance, and dance teacher for her. The company produced at least 15 songs, albums and singles for Engfa Waraha,” Sangrawee Entertainment announced.

After releasing the product, Engfa Waraha did not receive much attention so the amount of work was meager. However, the company claims to have never deducted % or cut Engfah Waraha’s income.

The company announced that it had invested in Engfa Waraha to perform many cosmetic surgeries such as rhinoplasty, orthodontics, fat injections, face slimming, cheekbone reduction, etc. While the contract with the company was still valid, Engfah Waraha unilaterally registered for Miss Grand Thailand 2022.

Miss Grand International President Nawat Isaraklaisil said she had received a lawsuit from the former company of Miss Grand Thailand 2022. Meanwhile, Engfah Waraha said the information given by the old company was not entirely true. Miss Grand Thailand 2022 shared that her mother was worried and stressed because of the lawsuit. Currently, the beauty assigns the handling of the case to a lawyer.

Engfa Waraha was born in 1995, participated in The Voice Thailand 2018. In 2022, she won the Miss Grand Thailand contest. The beauty won a place to participate in the international contest Miss Grand International 2022, scheduled to take place in Indonesia in October.
