Once Upon a Time 35 of Idecaf Theater will serve young audiences at Ben Thanh Theater this summer with the play The Adventures of Captain Sinbad: Legend of the Magic Eye (author: Quang Thao, director: Dinh Toan).
It took more than a decade for artist Dai Nghia to return to the show Once upon a time.
In addition to Dai Nghia, the play also has the participation of artists Dinh Toan, My Duyen, Bach Long, Thanh Thuy, Quang Thao, Hoang Trinh, Hong Anh, Hoa Hiep, Dong Hai, Quoc Thinh, Minh Dung, Cam Ho, Tuyen Map…
Dai Nghia is many different characters
Once Upon a Time 35 is set in Egypt. One day, Princess Cloud sent a letter asking for help to Sinbad because the magic eye, a sacred object of Egypt, was suddenly lost.
So Sinbad and his friends including Sin Bap, Sin Machine, and Sin Bep set out to the legendary land and went through many challenges to find the magic eye.
Dai Nghia plays the role of a Priest in the royal palace who always has a mysterious whereabouts, holding a grudge and determined to steal the god’s eye and take revenge on the descendants of god Ra, the current king and royal family.
As the key character of the villain side, Dai Nghia freely plays tricks and continuously transforms to… spin the opponent around.
Sometimes he turns into Sinbad, sometimes he turns into the God of Darkness. With a character with such a “dark” background, Dai Nghia continues to showcase his stand-up comedy style.
Dai Nghia’s character will probably be the center for young audiences to both hate and laugh at because of his unique antics!

1 billion VND to have sparkling Egypt
Representative of Idecaf Theater said that this year the unit has made a large investment Once upon a time Set in a sparkling Egyptian setting.
The current investment cost is estimated at about 1 billion VND. There are up to 150 new costumes. The 3D scene is bright and beautiful, creating a mysterious image of Egypt.
In particular, director Dinh Toan used laser projection technology throughout the play.
This new technology is applied with the desire to bring to the young audience the overwhelming, eye-catching transformations.
Tickets for the May shows only have a few seats left in the upstairs area. Idecaf has continued to release tickets for June. The company said that from the situation of ticket sales in May and June, it will continue to calculate for performances in July and August.

In the immediate future, it is planned to perform until August, with an average of 15 performances per month. However, the board of directors said they are still nervously waiting for the audience’s reception.
