In 2022, the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA Hanoi) will connect more than 1,300 Korean businesses with more than 1,000 Vietnamese buyers through 80 trade events in both direct and online. “In October, KOTRA will organize an international event – Korea Brand and Entertainment Exhibition in Hanoi – KBEE 2022 to further enhance trade activities between the two countries, quickly bring Trade turnover reaching the number of USD 100 billion can reach the target this year,” said Ms. Tran Thi Hai Yen, Head of KOTRA Hanoi Office.

After two years of travel disruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Korean businesses this time expect to strengthen trade promotion activities to promote import and export activities. Mr. Kim Yo Keun, Director of Prime Co., Ltd., which specializes in manufacturing dishwashers, said: “The Vietnamese market is still a potential market that offers many development opportunities for Korean businesses. The company is working hard to meet Vietnam’s demand for dishwashers. Currently, the company’s export value to the Vietnamese market is 300 million won/year.”
