At the meeting with the Cambodian karate delegation, Mr. Vath Chamroeun – General Secretary of the National Organizing Committee of the SEA Games 2023 (CAMSOC) had an important share about the last SEA Games.
According to a statement from Mr. Vath Chamroeun, the 32nd SEA Games attracted more than 600 million live views on television and social networks around the world. At the same time, the Tiktok platform has nearly 24 billion views.
At the 31st SEA Games held in Vietnam, the total number of views of the two main SEA Games-related hashtags on Tiktok was 18.5 billion. In which, football reached 3.2 billion views on this platform.
Currently, the 32nd SEA Games event is still a favorite keyword on social networks. The number of viewers is expected to continue to increase in the coming days.
The CAMSOC representative hopes that Cambodia can welcome more international tourists after the country successfully organizes the Southeast Asian Games.
For the 12th ASEAN Para Games, the opening and closing ceremonies are also expected to be attended by thousands of people. Cambodia will again provide free broadcast rights to the media at the ASEAN Para Games this time.
There are 236 disabled athletes (160 male athletes, 76 female athletes) in Cambodia registered to participate. In addition, the Cambodian Disabled Sports Delegation has 64 officials.
As the host, Cambodia is hoping to win as many medals as possible in the series they attend. Reporters who want to go to Cambodia to report will have to register before May 28 through the Paralympic Committee.
At the 11 ASEAN Para Games, Cambodia won a total of 28 medals, including 7 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze.
With regard to the provision of services for persons with disabilities, the host country pays great attention to this issue. The athletes of the sports delegations attending the 12th ASEAN Para Games are interested in appropriate accommodation and means of transportation.
