That goal was stated by the Secretariat in a directive issued on May 25 on strengthening the Party’s leadership in ensuring traffic order and safety in the new situation.
Traffic order and safety is still complicated, causing frustration and anxiety in society
The directive affirms: after 10 years of implementing Directive No. 18-CT/TW dated September 4, 2012 of the Secretariat of the 11th Party Central Committee on strengthening the leadership of the Party in ensuring order, Traffic safety and overcoming, traffic jams have achieved many important results.
Besides, people’s awareness and sense of obeying traffic laws have changed more positively; State management has been strengthened, traffic infrastructure has been paid attention to, and solutions to prevent and combat traffic jams have been implemented synchronously and effectively; Traffic accidents decreased in both the number of cases, the number of deaths and the number of injured people.
However, traffic order and safety are still complicated, causing frustration and anxiety in society.
To speed up the work of ensuring traffic order and safety to meet the requirements of the new situation, the Secretariat requested the Party committees, party organizations, authorities, Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations Associations at all levels well implement the following contents:
Promoting the synergy of the whole political system in ensuring traffic order and safety; persistently building a culture of law observance and civilized behavior when participating in traffic to reduce the number of accidents and basically limit traffic congestion.
Raise awareness of responsibilities of all levels and people for ensuring traffic order and safety.
Determining that ensuring traffic order and safety is one of the important driving forces for the country’s socio-economic development.
All acts of interference in the handling of traffic violations are strictly prohibited
The directive of the Secretariat sets out six key tasks and solutions. In particular, the Secretariat requested to tighten order and discipline, strictly handle all traffic violations by road users and people in charge of state management of traffic.
