It is expected that at 8:00 a.m. on June 12, the People’s Court of Nghe An province will open a criminal trial for the appellate trial of the case of Le Thi Dung (former director of the Center for Education and Training in Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An) and his accomplices.

In this case, defendant Dung has been detained from March 28, 2022 to present. And defendant Nguyen Thi Huong (former accountant, Center for Education and Training, Hung Nguyen district) has been banned from leaving the place of residence from August 15, 2022 until now.
After the first-instance trial, defendant Dung appealed against the entire first-instance judgment of the People’s Court of Hung Nguyen district. On May 23, the People’s Procuracy of Nghe An province issued a decision to appeal against the first-instance criminal judgment No. 17 of the People’s Court of Hung Nguyen district in the direction of requesting the People’s Court of Nghe An province to hear the case according to the appellate order and cancel the first-instance judgment. for investigation and retrial.
As reported by the PLO, on April 24, the People’s Court of Hung Nguyen district continued the first-instance trial and sentenced defendant Le Thi Dung to five years in prison (the lowest level of the penalty frame), Nguyen Thi Huong (57 years old, hometown). Ha Tinh, former accountant of the Center for Education and Training, Hung Nguyen district) two years in prison for abusing positions and powers while on official duty.
The trial panel also declared arrears of more than 44.7 million dong from defendant Dung to return it to the Center for Education and Training of Hung Nguyen district.
