After the first-instance trial, defendant Dung appealed against the entire first-instance judgment of the People’s Court of Hung Nguyen district. On May 23, the People’s Procuracy of Nghe An province issued a decision to appeal against the first-instance criminal judgment No. 17 of the People’s Court of Hung Nguyen district in the direction of requesting the People’s Court of Nghe An province to hear the case according to the appellate order and cancel the first-instance judgment. for investigation and retrial.
As reported by the PLO, on April 24, the People’s Court of Hung Nguyen district continued the first-instance trial and sentenced defendant Le Thi Dung to five years in prison (the lowest level of the penalty frame), Nguyen Thi Huong (57 years old, hometown). The trial panel also declared arrears of more than 44.7 million dong from defendant Dung to return it to the Center for Education and Training of Hung Nguyen district.
