Piaggio’s pure electric car model is made in China, electric motor with a capacity of 1.6-2.9 horsepower, battery for a range of 55-90 km.
Piaggio One first appeared in Vietnam through an exhibition about green products taking place on Nguyen Hue walking street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City (September 13-19). One has a design reminiscent of the small gasoline car Piaggio Zip.
The dimensions of One’s length, width, and height are 1,680 mm, 750 mm, and 1,080 mm respectively. The vehicle has a seat height of 770 mm. Gross weight without battery is 75-79 kg depending on version.
The electric car model is equipped with LED headlights and taillights, an LCD speedometer displays information about battery level, temperature, speed, distance traveled… One comes with a smart key. , starts with a knob like high-end scooter models.
Small and somewhat mischievous in appearance, Piaggio One is aimed at urban youth. The vehicle has disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, both 10-inch wheels with tubeless tires.
In Italy, Piaggio One has many versions with 29 Ah or 48 Ah lithium-ion battery options, with a range of 55-90 km. With a 220 V household power source, the car takes up to 6 hours to fully charge the battery.
The car’s electric motor has three different power levels, 1.6 horsepower, 2.6 horsepower and 2.9 horsepower. The corresponding torque for the plates is 85 Nm, 90 Nm and 125 Nm. Maximum speed 45 km/h or 60 km/h depending on version.
Piaggio Vietnam representative said that the Piaggio One electric motorbike model has no plans to be sold in the domestic market. The vehicle is currently produced solely at the joint venture factory of Piaggio and Zongshen motorbike company in China, serving the domestic market and exporting to countries around the world.
In Europe, Piaggio One has a starting price of 3,090 USD.
