The exam for grade 10 public high school in Hung Yen province in 2024 will take place from June 3 – 5, 2024 with some changes.
Compared to the 2023 – 2024 school year, the entrance exam for grade 10 public high schools in the 2024 – 2025 school year reduces by 2 subjects. That is 1 Natural Science subject (Physics, Chemistry or Biology), 1 Social Science subject (History, Geography or Civic Education).
Specifically, on the afternoon of June 3, candidates went to the exam room to complete exam procedures, correct errors (if any) and listen to the exam regulations and exam schedule.
On the morning of June 4, candidates take the Literature test for 120 minutes, and the Math test for 90 minutes in the afternoon. On June 5, candidates take the English test in 60 minutes.
For candidates registering to take the entrance exam to Hung Yen High School for the Gifted, they will take the specialized exam on the afternoon of June 5, within 150 minutes.
Every year, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen province decides to randomly select 1 subject from the Natural Sciences subjects and 1 subject from the Social Sciences subjects.
According to the Admissions Plan for the 2024 – 2025 school year, the Literature exam is in the form of an essay, with 120 minutes to complete.
Math and English are tested in multiple-choice format and take 90 and 60 minutes respectively.
Exam content within the scope of the secondary school program is issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, mainly in grade 9.
Admissions to grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools and grade 10 of Hung Yen specialized high school are organized into one exam. The admission method is entrance exam.
Candidates taking the entrance exam to Hung Yen High School for the Gifted take 4 exams, including 3 general exams along with the entrance exam for grade 10 public non-specialized high school and one specialized subject exam.
Candidates registering to take the exam for any specialized class must take that specialized exam.
Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee assigns specific tasks to each department, branch, unit, district, town and city in directing and organizing the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2023 school year.
