In order to minimize damage to farmers and promote the development of cage aquaculture on rivers and reservoirs, the Lang Son Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requests the People’s Committees of districts and cities to direct specialized agencies to coordinate with other units. Guide, propagate and mobilize farmers to register for cage farming and carry out administrative procedures in the fisheries sector according to regulations; Organize the review and arrange suitable cages according to the approved local plan. At the same time, instruct people to apply disease and hunger prevention measures for farmed aquatic products according to the Department’s direction and guidance documents.

Perform well the task of environmental monitoring and warning, proactively prevent and effectively prevent sources of water pollution that can affect the farming area. When detecting signs of abnormality or scattered death of farmed aquatic animals, timely remedial measures should be given. Do not move cages from a farming area with diseased aquatic animals to a farming area where the disease has not appeared.

At the same time, direct specialized agencies to appoint officials to guide farmers in applying technical measures to manage farming areas. Specifically: Breeds must ensure quality, have a clear origin, and be quarantined by veterinary agencies according to regulations; Food used for aquatic products must ensure that it is not harmful to livestock and users of aquatic products.

Adding vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients to the diet of farmed seafood to improve resistance to negative developments in disease and the environment; Regularly clean and disinfect cage nets, farming tools, and hang lime bags around the cages to disinfect and improve the farming environment.

Prepare pumps, aerators, fuel, and materials to be ready to respond when the farming environment becomes bad. Regularly monitor developments in the cage environment, especially in the early morning and evening, to quickly detect environmental changes that negatively affect farmed aquatic products and take timely measures.

Closely monitor market information to harvest at the appropriate time; Strengthen cooperation and linkage in production, processing, and consumption in the chain to lower costs, improve product quality, and increase competitiveness…

In addition, increase propaganda information on quality management of breeds, aquatic feed, and aquaculture environmental treatment products. Organize inspection and examination of the implementation of regulations in aquaculture and strictly handle violations according to regulations.
