On November 16, Binh Duong Newspaper reported about “strange objects” on DT744 road, section from An Tay commune (Ben Cat town) to Thanh An commune (Dau Tieng district). Accordingly, some people used trees to penetrate concrete holes on the hard median strip of DT744 road and then climbed over. This poses a high risk of traffic accidents.

The authorities of An Tay commune removed “strange objects” on the median strip of DT744 road through the commune.

After the newspaper reported it, relevant local authorities began handling the above “strange object”. Mr. Nguyen Bac Tan, Chairman of An Tay Commune People’s Committee, said the DT744 route through the area is more than 12km long. By the afternoon of November 20, local authorities had removed nearly 100 wooden bars that people had attached through concrete holes in the median to climb over. “In the coming time, the locality will continue to propagate and request people not to perform the above actions to ensure traffic safety,” Mr. Nguyen Bac Tan said.

Similarly, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Cong Dien, Head of Police in Thanh Tuyen commune (Dau Tieng district), said that in recent days the local police have removed many wooden bars on the median strip of DT744 road. Through patrols, the commune police force also propagated and reminded households with houses on DT744 road not to use hard objects through the hole in the median strip to climb over, causing traffic insecurity.
