On the red carpet of the event, there were many Vietnamese artists and representatives of film crews.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Steering Committee of the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival emphasized that this is a special, meaningful film event to celebrate 70 years since President Ho Chi Minh signed the Decree establishing the Vietnamese revolutionary cinema industry, 78 years since the tradition of the Culture sector and 130 years of formation and development of Da Lat city, Lam Dong province.

Notably, at the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival, all 147 films in the competition film program and the panoramic cinema program were shown to the public, festival delegates and tourists. to Da Lat.

Mr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, Co-Head of the Steering Committee of the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival also emphasized:

“The festival is a vivid demonstration of the vitality and pervasiveness of Vietnamese traditional culture in the integration flow of world culture, making an important contribution to meeting the cultural enjoyment needs of all classes. people in Lam Dong province. At the same time, through this festival, artists and filmmakers across the country will continue to learn and discover more about the land and people of Lam Dong.”

At the opening ceremony, the organizers also officially introduced the jury members of the participating film categories. In particular, the feature film category is headed by People’s Artist Dao Ba Son as Chairman of the jury. Director, People’s Artist Nguyen Luong Duc – Chairman of the jury in the documentary and science category; Associate Professor Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu, Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Association, is the Chairman of the jury for the animation category.

The opening night program also had many elaborate and colorful art performances with the participation of artists: Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Van Mai Huong, Lam Phuc, Phuc Tiep, Pia Linh.. .

After the opening ceremony, a series of events will take place within the framework of the festival: seminars “Copyright protection in film industry development” and “Some key issues in building Vietnam’s film industry”; Exchanging film artists with audiences, students, free movie screenings…

The 23rd Vietnam Film Festival takes place until November 25.
