Sports exchanges strengthen the Vietnam-Cambodia friendship

This is an exchange activity on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Cambodia’s National Day to strengthen and further tighten the working relationship between the two units as well as the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries.

According to Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Phnom Penh, attending the exchange program were Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang, Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Nguonhong, and a large number of Ambassador officials and staff. Vietnam Consulate and neighboring agencies as well as representatives of ministry leaders and units under the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Tang sent sincere congratulations to Cambodia on the great domestic and foreign achievements achieved under the leadership of ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Chairman Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet. Those achievements are associated with the important and effective contributions of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Ambassador Nguyen Huy Tang highly appreciated and valued the cooperative relationship between the two countries’ foreign ministries, as well as the close relationship between the Vietnamese Embassy and the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Emphasizing the close coordination between the Vietnamese Embassy and the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in joint foreign affairs activities in recent times, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Tang expressed his confidence in the friendly sports exchange. The proposal will contribute to strengthening solidarity, friendship, and cohesion in work coordination between diplomatic officials of the two countries.

For his part, State Secretary Prak Nguonhong expressed his joy in participating in this program, and highly appreciated the significance of sports exchange activities between officials and diplomatic staff in contributing to improving the quality of sports. friendly relations and close, effective cooperation in all fields within bilateral and multilateral frameworks between the two countries, in accordance with the motto “Sport in peace” and “Sport builds friendship.” ” for the harmony between the people of the two countries and the spirit of international integration of Vietnam and Cambodia.

In an atmosphere of excitement and solidarity, the athletes played their best, presenting exciting and exciting matches. In addition to the matches in the scheduled program, many matches are arranged by the organizers to meet the passion for sports and at the request of the athletes of both sides.

The exchange sports competition program does not rank or determine winners or losers. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Tang awarded souvenir medals from the program to the athletes to encourage and encourage training and sports exchange activities, contributing to further tightening the relationship.
