Asia-Pacific – the region that is considered the most dynamically developing region, can be the driving force of global development – is facing a great challenge, being one of the most heavily affected regions. due to climate change, it suffers the most from natural disasters, with the largest number of dead and affected people. Existential threats related to climate change are expected to seriously affect efforts to improve the lives of people in the region.

Stating that as one of the countries heavily affected by climate change, Vietnam considers climate change response a priority in national development policies and strongly commits to achieving net zero emissions by By 2050, reducing greenhouse emissions, protecting forests and converting energy, along with many solutions on institutional improvement and practical action, President Vo Van Thuong affirmed that Vietnam is ready to contribute to joint efforts of the international community in responding to climate change, protecting the environment, participating in United Nations peacekeeping activities and international humanitarian relief.
