According to the initial report of the Department of Education and Training of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, after receiving feedback about the incident of teacher HVM – Union Secretary, PE teacher of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted had unstandardized behavior. In relation to 11th grade female students, the school coordinated with the authorities of Vung Tau City and the Department to conduct initial verification and work with relevant parties according to the process.

However, this is a sensitive issue. The person who filed the complaint reported that the teacher had inappropriate behavior but could not provide proof, so the school and the Department had no basis to verify.

Since then, the Department of Education and Training requested the support and involvement of competent authorities to verify and clarify the incident.

As reported, social networks were previously aroused by the “cry for help” petition of Ms. D.TT (54 years old, residing in Vung Tau City), reflecting that her daughter, who is in grade 11 at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, was bullied by her teacher. HVM teacher sexually harassed.

According to the statement, the incident recounted by Ms. T.’s daughter happened about 3 weeks ago. At that time, Mr. M. called her daughter to hall A at school and had many “inappropriate” actions.

However, through working with the school board, authorities and parents, teacher M. confirmed that there was no sexual harassment against female students.

Regarding the above incident, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted has temporarily suspended the work of the HVM teacher to clarify the feedback.

On April 15, the Standing Committee of Vung Tau City Youth Union requested Mr. HVM to stop holding the position of Secretary of the Youth Union during the process of investigating and clarifying the case.
