More than thousands of people applied for unemployment insurance

Statistics from Dak Lak Province Employment Service Center: The number of people applying for unemployment insurance in the first quarter of 2024 is 1,429 people. Of these, 857 people are workers working in other provinces who applied and 572 people are local workers. Authorities have issued 1,436 decisions to enjoy unemployment benefits, with a payment amount of about 25 billion VND.

The units recruit an average of 10 – 50 people, with salaries ranging from 5 to 8 million VND/person/month, with main occupations being sewing, making false eyelashes, rubber, mechanics, and sales staff.

In fact, a part of workers in Dak Lak are unemployed not because they are lazy or refuse to go to work. Among those who have just submitted applications for unemployment insurance benefits, there are many repatriates returning from southern provinces and cities. They return home to Dak Lak and want to temporarily rest and regenerate their energy for a while before researching the market and choosing a suitable business to apply for a job.

The job market is still vibrant

Leader of the Department of Labor, Employment and Vocational Education (Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) of Dak Lak province commented: It is forecast that the number of workers applying for unemployment benefits will decrease because of recruitment demand. According to Dak Lak Provincial Employment Service Center: In the second quarter of 2024, the unit will organize employment and career counseling for more than 9,000 people; introducing jobs to about 2,400 people; Strive to have about 900 people with jobs after introduction, of which about 48 people will be exported and organize job sessions according to the plan.

The center also collects information on recruitment needs for about 705 units and businesses; providing labor market information to about 3,480 units, businesses and workers; Promote consulting and vocational training support for unemployment insurance workers. The expected number of unemployed workers receiving vocational training support is 100 people.
