Visiting the area of ​​Tra Linh International Border Gate and Na Doong Opening, the group was informed about the operating situation of Tra Linh International Border Gate and the Provincial Border Gate Economic Zone. Accordingly, in the past 3 years, the total import-export turnover of goods through Tra Linh International Border Gate reached over 804 million USD (accounting for 34.4% of the total turnover of the province). The main export items are pepper, cashew nuts, aluminum alloys, lead ingots, peeled boards, seafood, ginger, fruits of all kinds…; The main imported goods are wine yeast, coke, garment fabrics, agricultural products, machinery, components, glazed porcelain tiles… In the first quarter of 2024 alone, the total import-export turnover of goods was 64.6 million USD, up 58% over the same period; Temporarily imported and re-exported goods, bonded warehouses, and border gate transfers are supervised by the Department for more than 12.6 million USD. Currently, Tra Linh International Border Gate area has 7 companies and enterprises investing, with 10 projects granted investment policies and investment registration certificates, with a total investment capital of 874 billion VND.

Mr. Chu Vu Hong, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Bach Sac City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) highly appreciated the border gate infrastructure and hoped that the two sides would cooperate. negotiations to enhance customs clearance of goods between the two sides. He emphasized: Bach Sac city, Guangxi (China) will synthesize the goods in need of import, requesting the border gate authorities of both sides to increase information exchange to jointly promote Effectively exploit border gates in the best way.

Next, the delegation from Bach Sac city, Guangxi (China) visited and surveyed the iron and steel complex of Cao Bang Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company. The Cao Bang Iron and Steel Complex project was started in 2012; Production line equipment is invested in advanced Chinese technology. Including 4 main production factories: Oxygen production factory with capacity of 3800m2³/H; Sintering plant with capacity of 399,200 tons/year; Iron factory with capacity of 219,300 tons per year; Steel Refining Factory with capacity of 226,000 tons of steel billet/year.

In the past 5 years, the Company’s revenue has reached about 3,000 billion VND/year, contributing 407 billion VND to the local State budget; creating jobs for 780 workers, of which 747 workers are local people (accounting for about 96%).
