Hai Duong launches Workers Month and Action Month on occupational safety and hygiene in 2024

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Luu Van Ban, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, requested all levels of unions, workers, labor and businesses of Hai Duong to well implement the theme of this year’s Workers’ Month which is ” Uniting workers – Implementing the Resolution”, the theme of Action Month on occupational safety and hygiene is “Strengthening safety and occupational hygiene at the workplace and in the supply chain”.

Localities, units, and businesses actively propagate occupational safety and hygiene for workers and laborers; Pay attention to workers’ health care, limit labor accidents and occupational diseases. Launching emulation and promoting mass movements to work on occupational safety and hygiene, contributing to building a safe working environment.

Also in the peak month of organizing activities for workers and laborers, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Luu Van Ban hopes that trade unions at all levels will continue to take care of and protect legitimate rights and interests, workers’ legitimacy. Businesses pay more attention to the lives of workers, ensuring welfare regimes according to the law.

During Workers’ Month, trade unions at all levels continue to actively praise union members and typical workers. Each program and activity needs to create highlights that bring warm and happy emotions to union members and workers throughout the province; Strengthen connections, introduce and create job opportunities and vocational training to ensure sustainable jobs and income for union members and workers. Localities organize meetings and dialogues between heads of government and businesses with trade union officials and workers. Trade unions advise business owners to organize “Thank you workers” activities; honor and praise typical workers, officials and laborers in the emulation movement “Good Labor – Creative Labor”…

On this occasion, 2 collectives and 2 individuals from Hai Duong were awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; 5 collectives and 7 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Department of Labor Safety for their outstanding achievements in labor safety in 2023.

The Provincial Labor Federation awarded certificates of merit to 95 workers with outstanding achievements in the movement of research and application of science and technology, promoting labor productivity. In addition, the Council of Occupational Safety and Health and the Provincial Federation of Labor gave many gifts to disadvantaged workers suffering from labor accidents and occupational diseases.
