Connecting Austrian – Vietnamese culture in Da Lat

(LD online) – The Austrian Embassy (Hanoi) and Pho Ben Doi (Da Lat) have just announced that on April 29, at the Pho Ben Doi Creative Connection Space (No. 10 Ly Tu Trong, Ward II , Da Lat City, Lam Dong) will take place the Austria-Vietnam Cultural Exchange and Connection Community Concert Program. This program is chaired by Da Lat City People’s Committee and coordinated by the Austrian Embassy and Ben Hill Street.

Here, Austrian artist Anna Koch will perform some music on the Clarinet and share with the audience about the Clarinet. In addition, artist Anna Koch will also collaborate with zither player Thu Quyen to perform contemporary music. Anna Koch is a professional musician, specializing in contemporary music composition and improvisational performance. She spent time studying at the Vienna University of Music and Acting, receiving an honorary diploma in 2017. In 2020, Anna Koch was awarded the Startstipendium Musik scholarship from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Culture and the Arts. In January 2022, she had the debut of a solo show, titled BASticcio. Anna Koch was selected for NASOM, New Austrian Sound of Music 2023 – 2024. She is a member of the Connecting The Dots Project, a project aimed at connecting people with music, between creative writing and improvisation, and between culture and nature, between images and sounds. Each dot on the map represents an artist. By telling stories to connect communities. Connecting The Dots project hopes to contribute value to the community around the world.

In 2023, Da Lat is honored to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of music.
