According to the Provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, currently some rice areas in Thanh Mien, Binh Giang, Ninh Giang and Kim Thanh districts have small leaf rollers that have begun to metabolize and lay eggs, and rice blast disease has broken out. causing local damage. Bollworms, downy mildew, and anthracnose also cause scattered damage to lychee tea plants.

The Provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection requests localities to increase propaganda and urge farmers to actively inspect fields and prevent pests and diseases in rice and lychees.

For small leaf rollers, monitor to spray at the right time when the larvae bloom (approximately from April 26 to May 3 depending on the ecological region and rice crop); Only spray pesticides on rice areas with insect density of 20 insects/m2 or more, spray a second time after 4-5 days. Recommend that farmers choose plant protection chemicals containing the active ingredient Isocycloseram, Indoxacarb, Indoxacar mixture with Emamectin bezoate, Chlorfenapyr to control small leafroll insects.

For rice blast disease, proactively spray to prevent cotton collar disease in newly emerging rice areas and transplanted varieties with high risk of disease such as sticky rice, Dai Thom, BC 15, TBR225. Choose drugs that contain specific active ingredients such as Fenoxanil, Tricyclazole, or a mixture of Fenoxanil and Kasugamycin.

On lychee plants, focus on monitoring and preventing fruit borers, anthracnose, and downy mildew that cause damage in late April and early May. Note that farmers should stop spraying to ensure enough quarantine time. from spraying to harvest.
