On April 24, information from the Office of the Investigation Police Department of Dak Lak Province said that the husband who doused his pregnant wife in gasoline and burned her in Krong Nang district (Dak Lak province) is being investigated for crimes. killing.

On the afternoon of November 22, 2023, Ms. O (22 years old, living in Ea Tan commune, Krong Nang district) came to talk to her husband Tran Nam Thanh (23 years old) and there was a conflict and argument.

After that, Thanh stood up, pulled gasoline from the motorbike into a plastic can and poured it on his wife. When Ms. O ran away, Thanh chased after her, continued to throw gasoline on his wife and then set her on fire.

When the fire burned on her, Ms. O ran to the water tank, Thanh also ran to get a water bottle, poured water on his wife to put out the fire.

After that, Ms. O was taken to the emergency hospital. At the time of the incident, Ms. O was eight months pregnant (with her second child).

According to the police, the above incident caused Ms. O to suffer severe burns on her legs, neck, face, and ears, accounting for 23% of her body, with an injury rate of 27%. After investigation, Krong Nang District Police transferred the case file to the Office of the Police Investigation Agency of Dak Lak Provincial Police to continue investigating according to its authority.
