The activity “Raise the wings of dreams – go to school with my brother” has been implemented by the Yen Bai Youth Union for many years, focusing mainly on sponsoring students to overcome difficulties. To have funding to help the students For children in difficult circumstances, the Youth Union actively called and mobilized sponsors to participate in supporting and helping. At the same time, they directly coordinated to learn about each child’s situation to come up with a support plan Appropriate support and assistance as well as ensuring the deployment of help to the right subjects.
Since the beginning of the year, Yen Bai Youth Union has coordinated to help dozens of children in difficult circumstances, thereby helping them gain more motivation and confidence in life.
A typical example is the case of Nguyen Ha Bao Khanh – Class 3C, Yen Thinh Primary School, her family is poor, her mother has chronic glomerulonephritis, heart failure, has been on dialysis for 4 years and is currently living in the village. dialysis in Hanoi. Meanwhile, my brother also has congenital heart disease, heart failure and pulmonary valve regurgitation; My father also doesn’t have a stable job, every day, whoever hires him does what he does; I myself am often sick. Despite the circumstances, I am very obedient, study hard and consciously strive to improve in life.
To help Khanh and his family alleviate difficulties, Yen Bai Youth Union coordinated with the Businessmen’s Association and BNI Pioneer to sponsor and support him 1 million VND/month (including 500,000 VND in cash and 500,000 VND). (equivalent to artifacts: rice, milk, instant noodles, candy), sponsorship period is 12 months, from December 2023 – December 2024.
Another pitiful situation that was enthusiastically helped by the Yen Bai Youth Union are two brothers, Ha Manh Hung – a student of Class 5A and Ha Duy Minh – a student of Class 1G, Kim Dong Primary School whose mother has stage cancer. Finally, my father is serving a prison sentence and my sister is disabled. Currently, the children are being raised and cared for by their aunt and uncle. However, her family is also poor and has very difficult economic conditions.
As soon as they learned about the situation of the two children, the Yen Bai Youth Union quickly connected with sponsors to help the two children within 24 months with a sponsorship amount of 1 million VND/month/child. In addition, the Youth Union has also mobilized sponsors to give each child an additional health insurance card for 2 consecutive years, total value of 3.2 million VND. This is truly a very meaningful gift to give wings to the dream of going to school of two brothers Hung and Minh. Ha Manh Hung expressed: “We are very grateful to everyone for your concern and help. We promise to always be obedient and study well so that in the future we can become useful people and be able to do many good things for others.” community”.
In recent times, along with regularly helping students in difficult circumstances to improve their studies in Yen Bai city, Yen Bai Youth Union has also coordinated to carry out many volunteer activities. Helping children in highland and extremely difficult areas in the province.
During Youth Month 2024, the Youth Union coordinated with Tram Tau District Youth Union and the sponsor to give gifts to 46 students at Pang De Village Kindergarten, Ban Mu Commune and gave the school a 43-inch TV.
