VTV.vn – According to a report from the Buon Don District Health Center (Dak Lak), the district has just recorded another chickenpox outbreak at a school with 11 cases of the disease.

Clean and disinfect classrooms with Cloramin B solution.

The first case is GB, born in 2010, a student at Nguyen Truong To Secondary School. On April 1, B. had a fever and blisters all over her body. The family bought medicine to treat it at home.

Before that, I went to school and interacted with my classmates. When they learned that she had chickenpox, her family stopped her from school and quarantined her at home. Currently my condition is stable.

Since April 15, there have been a number of more cases of students showing symptoms of fever and rash on the whole body, and were allowed to leave school and quarantine at home. These students all study with GB. The total number of cases as of April 19 is 11 cases.

Immediately after recording the chickenpox outbreak at the school, the Buon Don District Medical Center reported to the Center for Disease Control and the Department of Health, conducted an investigation, monitored the outbreak, and provided guidance to Nguyen Secondary School. Truong To cleans and disinfects the entire school campus and classrooms with 0.5% Chloramin B solution, and advises and guides on measures to prevent chickenpox at school.

At the same time, advise and guide schools and parents to implement disease prevention measures, such as: Limit contact with sick people to prevent spread; Cases of chickenpox should be absent from school or work for 7 to 10 days from the time the disease first appears to avoid spreading it to people around them; Regularly wash your hands with soap, use separate household utensils, clean your nose and throat daily with physiological saline solution; Clean homes, schools and household items with regular antiseptic solutions; Vaccinate against chickenpox for children from 12 months old.
