Hai Duong exceeded the target of implementing the “Million Steps of Kindness” campaign

According to the Provincial Red Cross Society, after nearly 2 months of responding to the campaign, Hai Duong had about 1,100 people participating in running nearly 24,000 km, exceeding 100 people and 14,000 km compared to the target assigned by the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society, equivalent to corresponding to the amount of 120 million VND to support beneficial activities for the community.

The above campaign was organized by the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society in collaboration with FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company and launched nationwide from February 25 to April 21. Participants install the vRace application on mobile devices such as smartphones, smartwatches… This application will actively record the distance the participant walks or jogs. Each kilometer corresponds to 5,000 VND to support the program of building boarding kitchens, supporting livelihoods… for disadvantaged people in Dien Bien, Son La, and Thai Nguyen provinces. This is a practical activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2024) and Humanitarian Month 2024.

Previously, at the end of March, the Provincial Red Cross Society and Hai Duong Central College of Pharmacy coordinated to launch a response to the campaign.
