On April 23, the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) informed and issued a number of traffic recommendations for the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Accordingly, the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory was held on May 6 and 7 in Dien Bien Phu city (Dien Bien province). The focus is on the memorial service for fallen heroes at Cemetery A1; visit historical sites; incense offering ceremony at the Temple of martyrs who died at Dien Bien Phu battlefield; Special live art programs nationwide and national-scale military parades…

The Traffic Police Department said that the demand for travel and freight transport during this time will increase on National Highway 6, National Highway 279, Hanoi – Dien Bien route and vice versa. Therefore, the Traffic Police Department said that during the preliminary review, rehearsal and official program (including May 3, 5, 6 and 7), heavy vehicles should be restricted. Large trucks and long-distance passenger vehicles move on Highway 6, Highway 279, Highway 12 from Son La, Lai Chau to Dien Bien and vice versa.

In case National Highway 6, National Highway 279 from Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Son La to Dien Bien (and vice versa) have serious and prolonged congestion, based on the severity, the Traffic Police will flow in the following direction:

From Hanoi, follow the Noi Bai – Lao Cai highway to Lao Cai, continue along Highway 4D to Lai Chau city and then go from Highway 12 to Dien Bien Phu city.

From Son La, follow Provincial Highway 106 to Muong Kim commune (Than Uyen district, Lai Chau), continue through Provincial Highway 106, National Highway 32, National Highway 4D to Lai Chau city and then follow Highway 12 to the city. Dien Bien Phu.

During the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Traffic Police Department recommends that traffic participants strictly comply with road traffic regulations and the regulation of functional forces and owners. Actively choose the appropriate schedule and time frame, proactively give way to vehicles with priority according to regulations.
