On the evening of April 23, Binh Lieu district held a ceremony to announce and receive the decision to recognize Huc Dong commune as meeting advanced new rural commune (NTM) standards in 2022.
Huc Dong is a mountainous and ethnic commune, with 7 villages with 661 households and 2,961 people; Ethnic minorities account for 97.7%; Of which, the San Chi ethnic group accounts for 82.4%. In 2019, Huc Dong commune was recognized as meeting NTM standards. In 2022, Huc Dong will be the locality chosen by the district to build an advanced rural area. During more than 3 years of implementing the construction of advanced rural areas, the commune has mobilized over 12 billion VND from State resources and socialized sources to focus on implementing the criteria. The appearance of the countryside has been renewed, becoming more spacious, clean and beautiful, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved.
By the end of 2022, the commune will achieve 19/19 criteria, 75/75 targets for building advanced rural areas; The poverty rate decreased from 9.84% to 0.62%, according to the National Criteria for Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025; Average income reached 65.18 million VND/person/year, an increase of 1.8 times compared to 2019. The average economic growth rate reached over 12%; The economic structure is shifting towards increasing the proportion of the service industry. With the results achieved in recent times, Huc Dong commune meets advanced rural standards.
Authorized by the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province, leaders of the Provincial Ethnic Committee, leaders of the NTM Coordination Office of Quang Ninh province and leaders of Binh Lieu district awarded Decision No. 392-QD/UBND, dated January 30, 2024 of the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province. Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province recognized Huc Dong commune, Binh Lieu district meeting advanced rural standards in 2022 for the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Huc Dong commune.
On this occasion, people and officials of Huc Dong commune were honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for outstanding achievements in implementing the task of building Binh Lieu district to meet NTM standards by 2023.
