(CTTĐT) – On the morning of April 24, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, chaired the 8th meeting of the Committee, with a focus on discussing the digital economy. The meeting focused on evaluating the situation of digital transformation and digital economic development from the beginning of the year until now and discussing key tasks of digital transformation and digital economic development in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the 2024 Work Plan has determined the focus of national digital transformation with the theme “Digital economic development with 4 industrial pillars Information technology, digitalization of economic sectors, digital management, digital data – Important driving forces for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development”.
The Prime Minister emphasized that digital transformation is a breakthrough, a key task, an objective requirement, a strategic choice, a top priority in implementing socio-economic development goals, especially is to reduce administrative procedures, reduce harassment, reduce compliance costs, travel costs… for people and businesses. The more strongly digitized, such as promoting non-cash payments, the more openness and transparency will be enhanced, and the prevention of corruption and negativity will be enhanced.
“The focused task is to promote growth and economic restructuring, effectively exploit traditional growth drivers and promote new growth drivers, including green economic development, circular, digital economy. Promote national digital transformation; develop digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital citizens. Focus on 3 strategic breakthroughs including: Institutions, including institutions related to digital transformation; human resources, especially high-quality human resources, with the focus being human resources for digital transformation; infrastructure, including digital infrastructure. Along with that, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State budget revenue and expenditure management, especially promoting digital transformation in budget revenue and expenditure (such as food and beverage business services, restaurants, e-commerce , doing business on cross-border platforms…) and non-cash payments”, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated.
