Specifically, by 2023, the total value of the livestock industry contributes 26% of agricultural GDP.

Mr. Thang said that from a small, self-sufficient livestock farming, Vietnam’s livestock industry is now known to the world for its production capacity and many fields have a high position.

“Partly thanks to the open-door policy, attracting domestic and foreign investment. Such as importing techniques, technology and management from developed countries.

Vietnamese livestock farming has shifted to professional, large-scale livestock farming, currently aiming for clean livestock farming and green agriculture. Therefore, the livestock industry must integrate, adapt to new science and technology trends, and promote the export of the industry’s strong products to increase international competitiveness,” Mr. Thang said.

According to Mr. Thang, a new point of Ildex Vietnam 2024 is that the ministry will coordinate with the organizing committee to have a special support program to promote Vietnamese products and brands.
