The National Librarian Festival propagates the development of reading culture and introduces books with the theme “Dien Bien – Echoing the epic forever” with the participation of 42 delegations with nearly 1,200 librarians across the country.
This is an event jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of Dien Bien province, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. The festival is organized by the Library Department and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province. After the opening ceremony on the evening of April 23, the delegations continued to compete at the Dien Bien Provincial Cultural Conference Center until April 26.

Within the framework of the Festival, the Organizing Committee displays and exhibits books, newspapers, and documents introducing the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80-year history of building, fighting, and growing up of the Vietnamese People’s Army. Nam, 35 years of National Defense Day and some images of reading promotion activities of organizations and individuals that have contributed to the development of reading culture.
