Taking place from April 15 to May 15 with the theme “Continuing to ensure food security and safety in the new situation”, Action Month for Food Safety 2024 will be implemented nationwide. The province, through a communication campaign, disseminates scientific knowledge on food safety and safe food production and business models; disseminating knowledge about food poisoning prevention; harmful effects of fake food and poor quality food; actual inspection at organizations and individuals producing and trading food; Publicize organizations and individuals violating food safety regulations causing serious consequences according to the provisions of law.

Emphasizing that food safety plays an important role in each person’s health, positively contributing to socio-economic development, at the ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Diem Ngoc We recommend that the Department of Health, as the standing agency of the Steering Committee, coordinate with agencies and units to promote propaganda, raise awareness and sense of responsibility for food safety for producers, business, food processing and consumers; Regularly update and disseminate new documents in the field of food safety to agencies, units and localities; coordinate to strengthen inspection and examination, and resolutely handle violations of food safety; proactively develop plans to ensure medical work, food hygiene and safety to serve major events and festivals of the province.

The Head of the Provincial Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on Food Hygiene and Safety also requested cRelevant departments and sectors strengthen the control of fake food, counterfeit goods, hand-carried goods, and smuggled goods on the market; All levels and sectors perform well their assigned tasks in ensuring food safety; Food manufacturers, traders, and processors uphold professional ethics in production, processing, and business; Consumers need to raise awareness and choose quality products to ensure the health of themselves and their families./.
