To date, An Thinh commune has 2,411/2,552 households meeting all 8 criteria (94.47%). In the whole commune, the number of poor households decreased from 50 households to 40 households, the number of near-poor households decreased to 63 households, 546 households accessed 27 billion VND from capital entrusted through the Bank for Social Policies at 11 savings groups and borrow capital (of which, 7.5 billion VND is the capital for job creation for 167 households), helping 4 women start a business to develop their economy from the capital of the project “Supporting women to start a business”; 7/7 villages established an air volleyball club, a folk dance and sports club, and a quan ho singing club. Mobilizing 98.9% of members and people to participate in health insurance, 100% of children in preschool, primary, and secondary school age go to school.
