In the first 4 months of 2024, in Dak Nong area, there were 26 violations of forest fire prevention and fighting, of which many forest fires had unusual signs.
Of these, there were 8 forest fires with an area of nearly 2.1 hectares and 18 fires of unforested crops with an area of nearly 18.4 hectares. Violations occur mainly in the southern district of Dak Nong province. Of which Dak Glong district is the leading locality with 21 cases, Tuy Duc 3 cases and City. Gia Nghia 2 cases.
According to the leader of Dak Glong District People’s Committee, in cases of violations of forest fire prevention and fighting, there are many cases with unusual signs. Currently, the district has asked the agency to investigate 7 cases of unforested crop fires on an area of 6.8 hectares. Many areas of pine forest along Highway 28, passing through Quang Son commune, were burned, showing signs of property destruction. Authorities have reviewed a number of subjects and are struggling to clarify the violations of these subjects. For other cases, Dak Glong district is determined to clarify and strictly handle violators (if any) to serve as a deterrent.
