The mine owner knew it was wrong and still overloaded the cargo
From readers’ feedback, Traffic Newspaper reporters were present and recorded that the above situation occurred on National Highway 2C. In the process of transporting goods to Vinh Phuc, many vehicles dropped materials, causing traffic safety.
At 9:00 a.m. on April 23, on Highway 2C, the reporter recorded dozens of 6-axle dump trucks carrying registration numbers 22H – 010.09, 88C – 237.80, 88H – 017.55, 22C – 095.29, 88H – 023.05, 22C – 095.46,… carrying stones from Tuyen Quang to Vinh Phuc.
Opposite the direction of movement of these vehicles, at 10:00 am, the reporter was present at Huy Linh quarry, located in Tuan Lo commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province to record the reality.
At the scene, many dump trucks and 6-axle tractors were gathered here. These vehicles are all loaded into boxes and carefully covered with tarpaulins.
Worth mentioning, even though they carry goods using the side of the box, most of these tractors still violate load regulations.
When the reporter accessed the vehicle weighing tickets, there were trucks carrying rocks weighing up to 70 tons. Specifically, vehicles with registration numbers 22H – 012.16, 22C – 030.21, 22H – 001.57, all have a total weight of 70,440kg, 63,910kg, and 63,210kg respectively. Meanwhile, according to regulations, 6-axle tractors are only allowed to circulate with a total load of no more than 53 tons.
Notably, the Huy Linh quarry area has been installed with a weighing station, but these overloaded trucks still freely move from the mine to Highway 2C.
When asked about this issue, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, owner of the quarry, said: “In fact, there is a situation of overloaded trucks as reported, but overloaded trucks are due to customers coming to buy goods. The unit has signed a commitment not to allow overloading, but the trucks still mostly do not comply with load regulations.”
While traveling along National Highway 2C, many vehicles scatter rocks on the road, posing a potential risk of traffic safety.

Faced with this situation, Traffic Newspaper reporters reported to the Traffic Police Department of Tuyen Quang province. Talking to reporters over the phone, the unit’s leaders said they would check and handle according to regulations.
Reporter Traffic Newspaper also sent some photos and license plates of some vehicles with signs of violation to the working group of Vinh Phuc Traffic Police Department for inspection.
