The Central Inspection Committee disciplined two former leaders of An Giang and Soc Trang

(PLO) – The Central Audit Committee disciplined and warned Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh, former Chairman of the People’s Committee of An Giang province and reprimanded Mr. Tran Van Chuyen, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Soc Trang province.

On April 23 and 24, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Committee (Inspection Committee) held its 40th session under the chairmanship of Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Cam Tu.

At this meeting, the Central Audit Committee considered a report recommending disciplinary action against a number of violating party members at the Party Committees of An Giang and Soc Trang provinces.

Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of An Giang province, was given a disciplinary warning.

The Central Audit Committee found that Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People’s Committee; Tran Van Chuyen, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Soc Trang violated the Party’s regulations and State laws in carrying out assigned responsibilities and tasks.

The two men also violated the regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and their responsibility to set an example; causing serious consequences, bad public opinion, reducing the reputation of the party organization and local government, to the point of requiring consideration and disciplinary action.

Based on the Party’s regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to impose a disciplinary warning on Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh and reprimand Mr. Tran Van Chuyen.

Also at the meeting, the Central Audit Committee reviewed the results of supervision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Standing Committees of Thai Binh and Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committees.

Accordingly, the Central Audit Committee requests the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Standing Committees of Thai Binh and Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committees to seriously review, learn from experience, and promptly overcome violations, shortcomings, and limitations in leadership. direct the development and implementation of working regulations; staff work and land management and use in investment projects; declaration of assets and income.

The Central Inspection Committee requested the Standing Committee of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee to direct inspections when there are signs of violations against the Party Committee of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and report the results to the Central Inspection Committee.
