According to initial investigation results, during their cohabitation, there were often conflicts between Thanh and his wife (22 years old) because Thanh often went out drinking late at night. On the afternoon of November 22, 2023, while Thanh and his wife were talking, conflicts and arguments continued to arise.

At this time, Thanh pulled gasoline from the motorbike into a plastic can and then poured it on his wife. Seeing this, his wife ran away, but Thanh chased her, continued to throw gasoline on her and then turned on the gas lighter to light the fire.

Not stopping, the evil husband continued to throw gasoline on her. When the fire was big, the subject used water to extinguish the fire burning on his wife’s body. After that, he took his wife to the hospital for emergency treatment with severe burns on her legs, neck, face, and ears, covering 23% of her body, with an injury rate of 27%.
